Asar stepped with ease with the knowledge that his slave was just a pace short behind him. But his nose still wrinkled with disgust at the revolting people around him. Even on a quiet day it was busy - scum crawling around the place. Some eyeing him and his fine, almost translucent, clothing and gleaming jewelry. Other's also eyes his slave, which made him pull him closer.

Still, he had no intent on turning back. He wanted something, and he was going to get it.

But he still gripped the slave's chain and hesitated in his step as a beady eye man brushed past him a little too close for comfort. He stunk and and you could see the dirt on him. He would of spat in the man's face if he lingered a second longer.

He tugged at the chain, attached to the slaves collar, leading him towards a more quiet area of the market. A part that few have the wealth to afford any of it.

"That way."

He would of sang the words, but the people were making him uncomfortable. He felt a little more at ease as they passed a guarded.

He had been pleased to know that they were going to the market this morning for jewels and clothing.

He'd been a little less pleased when Asar had decided that he wanted to show off his beautiful Slave's body to everyone at the Market. It wouldn't be too bad but he knew that there would be a few people flirting with him as they did every time he went to the Market.

Chanda followed behind the boy silently, trying to ignore the stares and whispers and yells of the men and women around them.

In a less crowded part of the market he let go of the breath he was holding.

There wear a number of stalls, all glistening with metals. Weapons ranging from being highly decorated to something strong and sturdy. Workmen's tool, each looking just as deadly as the next, despite what they are for. But he was not interested in them, but more on the intricate pieces of jewellery laid out in the mid morning sun, showing off their beauty.

He bypassed the first stools. No matter how pretty they looked, even he could see from this distance how poorly they have been made, and the low quality metal they are made of.

He continued to walk up, tugging his slave behind him until he was at a jewellers where the fat man behind was just as finely clothed as he was.

With a quick greeting, he scanned the jewellery, ignoring the man who tried to be friendly with him, recognising him as his father's son.

Picking up a pair of golden bracelets that gleamed and clinked, he turned to his slave, his lips curved.

"Do you think these will look nice?"

Again, he ignored the fat man's opinion, silver eyes only on his slave.

Chanda followed silently, curiosity taking over him when they ventured into a part of the Market he had never ventured to.

He'd ventured as far as the high working class Market in search of people to bed. This was far beyond that. This was the market that only the richest of the rich could even dare think of entering.

The place was beautiful. Jewels and weapons and fabrics of all kind.

Once upon a time he could have been seen running around Markets like these as a curious child. Now he was being dragged along as a Slave.

An emotion akin to nostalgia ran through him as a child brushed past him; fine fabrics brushing against his tanned skin.

His golden eyes turned back to his Master and he gave a small nod. Anything expensive would look good on him.

Asar grinned and gathered the matching pieces of jewellery, placing them in front of him. He blocked out the fat man's complaining, who then sighed and grumbled about a one off, before turning back to his lists.

Asar continued to browse the jewellery, picking a few of them up and comparing them against his slave. He then either placed it on the growing pile or turning them down and dumping them back. Gold and rubies were prominent, along with yellow and orange stones. Fiery colours he felt would look best.

He began to browse the rings, already having plenty for the wrists, chest, ankles, thighs and waist. A new collar has been ordered for around his slaves neck.

He picked up a larger on, letting it fall over his thumb with a confused frown. One would think it should be made for giants.

Chanda only half paid attention to Asar's antics as he went about picking out jewellery for him.

He nodded half heartedly, waved his hand, shook his head, perhaps even grunted occasionally in response to his Master's words and actions.

The man was too curious about what was going on around him.

This all looked so familiar. But it had been twenty years since. Twenty long torturous years since he had experienced this.

When his eyes finally settled on Asar again, he had to hold back a snort, his lips curling up into a smirk.

The boy didn't know what he was toying with.

Asar turned to his slave, greeted with his slave's smirking face.

His frown of confusion deepened, and hit of annoyance in it.

"What?"

The ring was still loose around his thumb, and he toyed with it a little, waiting for his slave's response.

"Nothing, Master."

He wanted to see Asar puzzle over it and figure it out himself.

Or perhaps see him and whoever he asks get embarrassed about it and laugh at their awkwardness.

It'd be far too amusing to see.

He gave his slave a small glare before turning back to the ring, trying to figure out who or what it was for with no luck.

He let out an annoyed huff, looking up to ask the tradesmen, only to see that he had disappeared inside for a moment. Too impatient to wait, he turned to the child that had ran past previously, only for him to come to the come conclusions as he had: it was a giants ring.

That thought terrified him.

Chanda watched his Master with an ever-growing smirk.

This was amusing. Worth coming out here naked for all to see. Much worth it.

He wouldn't be forgetting the boy's actions in this particular situation. Even if the boy figured out what it was, Chanda would hold this above him.

It'd be fun seeing the boy so embarrassed.

Asar was quick to put the ring back in place, fear still showing on his face. He hollowed for the man, asking for the price for the pile of jewellery in front of him and then have it delivered.

The fat man weighed them, all of it coming to one-hundred and sixty-two golden coins.

Biting his lip, he let his coins spill out on the table. Unknown to him, there was enough their, but he could not count them or figure out how many were needed. He hesitated before adding a few gold coins into the fat man's open sweaty palm, hoping that he will pull away once he given the man enough.

Chanda watched the man carefully.

He counted the coins as they tumbled into the merchants hand. It had been obvious that Asar couldn't count and, though he didn't care for Asar, he didn't like the idea of merchants cheating people out of money.

It was the peoples job of cheating merchants out of their stock.

As soon as the one hundred and sixty third coin dropped, Chanda lashed out. He caught the coin before it fell to the pile, golden eyes staring silently at the Merchant for a few long moments.

"One hundred and sixty two. Not a fleck of gold over," he murmured lowly.

Chanda was a dangerous sort of Slave; an educated one. He had learned more than enough to be considered educated by the time he was nine. He had remembered his lessons and used them to his advantage.

He would become the bane of many merchants lives, he was sure.

Asar looked up at the slave, stunned. Did did not expect anyone from the slums to be educated, let alone a slaved whore.

He turned to the man, grinning at him putting the rest of the coins into a small bag. With a quick mention of his address and a short wave, he turned so his attention was back on his slave.

"You can count?"

Despite his lack of interest in education, it was still interesting knowing that his slave was educated. And knowing that he was more valuable... Depending on the owner.

He continued down the street, towards a stool covered in fine fabrics.

Chanda nodded.

Yes, he could count. It was one of the few things he had been taught before escaping his fathers wrath.

"I can."

He followed behind the boy as he moved onto the next stool, smirking at the angry merchant over his shoulder.

He stared at him in awe before curiosity got hold of him.

"How? Did your last masters teach you?" He could not really imagine it. It was a whore house. Did they need to work of the perfect angle to bend?

Like the last, he paid little attention to the to the merchant. Simple shuffling through the fabrics and holding them up to his slave's chest - his attention purely on him

"It's unimportant."

He didn't want to delve into the complicated sob story that was his back story. Especially not with someone he didn't trust.

He didn't want anyone to know of his life before current time.

If he told someone it was because he trusted them.

He didn't trust Asar. He wouldn't share his story with him.

Normally, he would of pushed it, and try to squeeze every bit of detail out of the slave simple because he did not give an answer. But, right now, he mind was also slightly filled with fabrics, and whether to go with the white of the light cream.

He liked the contrast of the white against his slave's skin, and how it would look with the deep red fabric he picked out. But the cream would look better with the outfits overall, although it was a little duller.

humming and arring, he finally went with the cream, and turned to ask for a roll of the red and cream, both to be delivered. The merchant gave a surprised look on the amount of fabric that was needed, before quickly giving the price: thirty-six gold coins.

He gave the bag of money to the slave, trusting that he will hand over the right amount.

Chanda arched a brow slightly when the bag was handed off to him.

All right then. Now he could have a little fun.

He opened the bag and flicked through the coins inside of it. "We don't have enough gold. Would it be possible to use silver, too?" A calculated bullshit lie. He just hoped that Asar wouldn't call him up on that right now.

Quickly and confidently he counted out thirty two gold and one hundred gold.

Short by a fair amount but still it looked like a large amount when piled on the counter.

"Good day," he called back over his shoulder as he guided Asar away, handing the pouch back to him.

He idly looked at the fabrics before he was guided away. He glanced over his shoulder as he watched the merchant count the money out.

He turned up to his slave, eyebrows drawn together a little.

"Are you sure you gave him the right amount? That looks like a lot of coins."

And the purse felt a fair amount lighter when he was given it back. Maybe his slave lied to him when he said he could count?

Chanda gave a low chuckle, pushing Asar a little faster with a hand on the small of his back so they'd round a corner in the Market and disappear into the crowd unnoticed.

There, now the cloth merchant couldn't find them.

"Is there anything else you want, Master?" he asked, golden eyes sparkling as they slowed to a casual walk again.

His hand slid from the boy's skin to return to his side.

Asar was a little more then confused as he was pushed briskly through the crowed, forcing him into a fast paced walk. Unless he was excited or a bundle or energy, anything above a walk was tiring. Especially out in the sun in such a disgusting and crowded area.

He let out a soft whine as they finally eased into a nicer pace.

"No. I want to get out of here." He tugged his slave closer, eyeing the ugly people around him. "If it was acceptable, I would ask you to carry me."

Chanda gave a soft snort of amusement.

Carry him, huh?

Chanda may have been his Slave, but he wouldn't carry him for all the riches in the Market.

"Let's return to your home then." Your home. Asar's home. It wasn't his home.

"Once the jewellery is delivered, I promise to dance for you to the early hours."

That added a skip in he step and he let out a soft squeal.

"They should come later this evening, along with the fabrics."

He tugged on the chain as he swigged his arms, grin in place on his lips.

"You will need to be measured tomorrow. Our seamstress should be able to make all the clothing within a few days. I'm not to sure on the type of stuff you wear for dancing, but you should know and will be able to tell her. Although, I don't how many things she can make out of the fabric."

What did he wear for dancing? Ratty old pieces of cloth. Nothing Asar would allow him to wear.

He'd have to make up his own outfits.

It would be easy enough to do. Something he'd spend some time on in the next few days.

Stepping out of the busy street and onto the more quieter own made him visibly relax. The smell was still apparent, but now there were signs of wealth and and not so many people crawling about. Like insects on rotten food.

The boy wriggle his nose in disgust.

"We need to bathe when we get back. Hopefully, it will get rid of the small."
